Cast Pandora with Chromecast

You can cast Pandora from the mobile app to a Chromecast-enabled device and continue controlling playback from your phone or tablet.

Before you begin:

• Make sure your mobile device and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
• Set up your Chromecast using the Google Home app. For setup instructions, refer to Google's Chromecast Help Center.
• If you're using an iOS device (iPhone or iPad), make sure you're using Pandora version 5.0.1 or later.
• If you're using an Android device, make sure you're using Pandora version 7.0 or later.
• Chromecast isn't supported on the Pandora web player at pandora.com.

Cast Pandora:

• Open the Pandora app and start playing a station.
• Go to the Now Playing screen.
• Tap the Chromecast icon.
• On iOS, the Chromecast icon appears below the album art, to the right of the track information.
• On Android, the Chromecast icon appears to the right of the song title.
• Select your Chromecast device. Your station will begin playing on your TV, while you continue controlling playback from your mobile device.

To disconnect, tap the Chromecast icon again.

Troubleshooting Chromecast

If the Chromecast icon isn't showing next to the volume bar in Pandora, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Update the Pandora app. Make sure you're using the latest version of Pandora.
2. Check your Wi-Fi connection. Verify that your mobile device and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Restart your Chromecast. Unplug your Chromecast from its power source, then plug it back in.
4. Restart the Pandora app.
• Android: From the Now Playing screen, tap the back arrow to return to the tab view. Tap the Menu icon in the upper-right corner, select Quit, then reopen Pandora.
• iPhone: Close the Pandora app completely, then reopen it.
5. Set up your Chromecast again. Open the Google Home app (formerly the Chromecast app) and complete the Chromecast setup process again.

Google TV is a personalized smart TV experience available on select TVs and streaming devices from leading brands. It is powered by Android TV OS. If your device runs Android TV OS but doesn't include the Google TV interface, it's considered an Android TV device.

Troubleshooting on Google TV and Android TV

1. Unplug your TV for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
2. Clear app cache for Pandora.
   • Open the Settings menu.
   • Select Apps → See all apps.
   • Select Pandora from the list of apps.
   • Select Clear cache and confirm choice.

If the issue persists, clear app data using the same menu options above.
